Studio East6 is my absolute go-to for my Indian clothes. I first found out about Rupa and Studio East6 in 2017 when I was wedding planning. I had decided that, for my wedding shopping, going to India or dealing with any stores that feel like you’re being pressured or having to haggle just were not right for me. A friend recommended I check out Studio East 6.

Rupa, the founder, has established strong relationships with Indian designers and also has the ability to make custom items. I really wanted outfits that were light and I would wear after the wedding, and I loved Payal Singhal’s items. I was able to select the items, make customizations around things like neckline, back, tassels, etc and also choose my exact colors. Rupa took my measurements, I paid, and we were all set!

My items arrived on time and with consistent communication about where they were in the process. I would definitely recommend setting an appointment early for custom pieces because she does book up fast and that impacts the capacity of the designers and tailors.

I have also been to her new studio to check out the in stock pieces and I have my eye on a couple to purchase.
